Call for Presentations

The Program Committee of the National Association of Professors of Hebrew (NAPH) invites proposals for sessions or presentations on any aspect of scholarship or instruction related to Hebrew language, literature, and culture. We welcome proposals for individual papers as well as different types of panels: roundtable panels (focused on a topical, debatable issue); panels of brief presentations + one-hour discussion (focused on a specific topic in the context of research); and organized panels of 15-minute presentations followed by discussion. All other panels, including roundtables and other formats, are limited to 1.5 or 2 hours, depending on the schedule. Presentations must be of original, unpublished work that has not yet been published or presented at an academic conference.
AREAS OF CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS
Hebrew language and linguistics
Modern Hebrew literature and culture, including Hebrew within a comparative context
Biblical, rabbinic, and medieval Hebrew language and literature
Teaching Hebrew as a second/foreign language
Teaching Hebrew literature and culture
Second Language Acquisition research applied to Hebrew
Technology in the Hebrew classroom
Poster sessions on teaching Hebrew language and Hebrew literature and culture and workshops for Hebrew instructors are also encouraged. If you are considering thematic sessions consisting of consecutive panels on a specific topic, please note that each thematic session is limited to two panels. Pre-planned panels should include 3–4 presenters, be cross-institutional (with no more than two panelists from the same institution), and strive for gender inclusivity.
As the number of sessions and panels is limited, the proposal review is selective and may exclude eligible submissions that do not meet the committees’ expectations or the program's scope.
Panel participants may not serve as chairs of the session in which they are presenting. Those submitting proposals for entire sessions are invited to include the name of a chair who is not presenting in that session; alternatively, the conference committee will appoint a suitable chair.

ועדת הכינוס של ארגון הפרופסורים.ות לעברית מזמינה אתכם לכנס הבינלאומי השנתי הבא, שיתקיים באוניברסיטה הפתוחה ברעננה, ישראל, בתאריכים 14–16 ביוני, 2027. נשמח לקבל הצעות להרצאות יחיד ולמושבים מסוגים שונים: רב שיח (המתנהל סביב סוגיה אקדמית אקטואלית או שנויה במחלוקת); מושב של הרצאות קצרות על נושא אחד מלווה בדיון של שעה (המתמקד בנושא מסוים כמסגרת להצגת עבודה מחקרית); או מושב של הרצאות בנות 15 דקות ודיון בעקבותיהן. כל המושבים, כולל רבי-שיח מסוגים שונים, מוגבלים לשעה וחצי או שעתיים, בהתאם לתוכנית הכנס. ההצעות צריכות להציג מחקר חדש ועדכני שעדיין לא פורסם או הוצג בכנס אקדמי.
תחומי הכנס הם:
לשון עברית ובלשנות עברית
ספרות ותרבות עברית חדשה, גם בהקשרים השוואתיים
ספרות המקרא, חז"ל וימי הביניים
הוראת הלשון העברית כשפה שנייה/זרה
הוראת הספרות העברית והתרבות העברית
שיטות מחקר בהוראת שפה זרה והשלכותיהן על הוראת העברית
טכנולוגיה בהוראת הלשון והתרבות העברית באקדמיה
הוועדה מבקשת לעודד חוקרות וחוקרים העוסקים בתחומי המחקר הרלוונטיים או בהוראת תחומים אלו, להציע מושבים העוסקים בטקסט משותף, מושבים בין-תחומיים או מושבים תמטיים.
ועדת הפדגוגיה מבקשת להזמין גם סדנאות למורים ומושבי פוסטר בהם יוצגו מערכי שיעור ורעיונות לחדשנות בהוראה.
היות שמספר המקומות להשתתפות בכינוס מוגבל, שיפוט ההצעות יהיה סלקטיבי מאוד. אם אתם שוקלים להציע פאנלים עוקבים בנושא משותף, שימו לב שהוועדה תאשר לכל נושא כזה רק שני פאנלים. הצעות למושבים מאורגנים צריכות להכיל 3-4 דוברים, הן חייבות לעמוד בתנאים של גיוון מוסדי (לא יותר משני משתתפים מאותו מוסד) ולחתור לגיוון מגדרי.
משתתפים בפאנל אינם יכולים לכהן כיושבי ראש המושב שבו הם מציגים. מגישי הצעות למושבים שלמים מוזמנים לצרף להצעה שם של יושב.ת ראש שאינם מציגים במושב זה, או שועדת הכנס תמנה יושב.ת ראש מתאימים.
המועד האחרון להגשת כל ההצעות: 15 בדצמבר 2026.
